Zen Painting

This is a painting for anyone with anxiety and stress and likes to doodle. You can paint this first step one day and then another day you can add the details with the ink pens. This is a great task for those that don’t know what to paint, but wants to paint without any judgment or feeling pressured to have the “perfect painting.” If you like it and want to do more, you can keep a journal of these art tasks and see your progress over time.

Art Supplies:

Watercolors

brushes

container for water

paper towels

ink pens, gel pens, color and/or black

mixed media paper journal or watercolor paper

Directive:

Start by painting shapes onto the paper. You can overlap the shapes, paint next to the shape, or on top of the shape that was already painted.

Once the paper is filled, then you can add more colors and layers of paint.

let it dry or use a blow dryer to speed up the drying time.

Then use the ink pens and add details to it.
